Grades 6-12

Teen Volunteers

If you are a Sharon student in grades 6-12 you can volunteer at the library starting in September, 2025. Please complete this form and we will be in touch.

 


Volunteer English Tutor

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Literacy Program

The Sharon Public Library has partnered with the Stoughton Public Library to offer an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) adult literacy program. By volunteering your time to help adult learners improve their English reading, writing, speaking, and listening comprehension, you can significantly improve the quality of someone's life and provide an important community service.
 

Volunteer Commitment:

Commit to 1 orientation session and 12  hours of virtual training
Volunteers are expected to meet with their students for 2 hours per week for one year.

 

Eligibility:

Hold a high school diploma or GED
Be able to Speak English clearly
Be sensitive to the struggles of adult learners
